Crop Inputs/Crop Costs
Report on farm crop and block production costs like never before! Throughout the ProducePak Farm Management solution, the cost of producing a specific area of fruit / vegetables is being continually tracked and recorded. ProducePak V5.0 gives you the ability to be certain of how much profit a specific crop or block of fruit or vegetables (down to the specific plot/area) has produced.

Crop Inputs records all products used in general farm production tasks on a particular block and area; in all phases of farming from groud preparation, planting, and general tasks and labour during farm production. This provides an accurate costing of the production of each block/crop. You can analyse the active chemicals used on a block/crop and perform historical analysis to help control production quality and enforce traceability farm wide.
The Block/Crop Inputs module allows recording of materials (taken from Inventory) that are used in the preparation and production of a crop. An example of materials used in crop production may include:
• contracted services (agronomy, laser leveling etc)
• seedlings & other organic materials
• land lease or hire expenses
• water (and or water transportation costs)
• fertiliser costs
• and any other material/service/overhead recorded in the inventory system
By recording Block/Crop Inputs, the cost of production for individual crops can be determined. The Crop Inputs Module requires the Inventory Module if you require cost tracking.
Because you have all of the information on-hand you no longer have to spend weeks gathering and preparing the relevant information for HACCP audits as ProducePak has done it for you instantly.
Inventory & Expense Allocation
When a Crop Input is recorded, inventory used is automatically deducted from the ‘current stock on hand’ levels. If a task is verified as using a different amount of inventory then the relevant adjustment is made by ProducePak.
The cost of the inventory used is allocated to the particular crop/s being worked on. If multiple crops are being worked on at the same time, ProducePak will allocate the inventory costs to the crops in proportion of their size.
Post Harvest Intervals (PHI) / Withholding & Re-entry Periods
When you record a task, the withholding period is automatically updated for each crop (where relevant) and can easily and rapidly be repotted on. If users attempt to harvest fruit/vegetables when it is in a withholding (PHI) period, the system will alert the user to the Post Harvest Interval and require an alternative harvest date. . If staff should not be entering a crop/block for a specific task as a result of a recent chemical (or dangerous substance application), an alert will be generated to warn users where Crop Inputs are being scheduled in advance.
Getting The Big Picture
The information collected by the ProducePak Spray Diary is one component of cost which is used to determine crop production costs and measure productivity. The ultimate result of crop cost and productivity measurement is improved production quality and cost reduction.
